think I installed Indiana J.Infernal machine on my old WIN98. When I try to play it, get messg: "configure video to 3D"
I have the same computer, video card and monitor that I had when I first played the game and it worked fine.
Does anyone know what this means? thanks

Try checking your DX settings. Under Windows 98 click Start, Run - enter DXDiag, and press Ok.

Under Display, check the section for DirectX Features. Have Direct Draw and Direct 3D been disabled?

Edit -

The game may also have a settings shortcut in the program group, check that as well.

Is it still the same message of "configure video to 3D" ?
Make sure graphics acceleration has not been turned down (or off) for another game.

Hello Jenny-thanks for responding
The error is "your display adapter is no longer configured properly. to correct problem click OK to start the hardware installation wizard."
When I go through the troubleshooting steps it tells me to load the installation disk for the driver, which of course I never got-computer was 2nd hand-So I am undecided as to whether to get another video card with the disk for my old machine, or just forget it-would like to be able to play those old games tho.
I wonder if anyone has the installation disk for
"Number Nine Visual Technology-SR9-8MB SDRAM" chip type Savage4 ??
I did actually find a new 16MB card on Amazon that would probably work with my 64MB machine.

You can probably still find them on the net -

Here's one that may work for you (From S3).
S3 Video Drivers

Try this one -> 395drv

Edit -

Here's another from Drivers Guide.
Number Nine - SR9 AGP SDRAM MLX 8MB

Thanks Inland-
Looks likes its the correct driver alright-now I have to get the old machine hooked up to the internet so I can download it. It is stuck in 640X480 so the icons are huge, but maybe I can do it! thanks again
