i have a windows xp computer. can anyone tell me where and how to go to the place were to reduce audio and/or acceleration settings for games. can you walk me thur these steps. i do not know that much about computers. thanks terry

There is more than one way to access the settings.
Here is one way:

Audio acceleration:

Start button --> Run --> Type
dxdiag
in the box and OK it.
On the Sound tab, move the acceleration slidebar to the left and OK it.

Video (hardware) acceleration:

Right-click the desktop where there is no shortcut --> Properties --> Settings tab --> Advanced button --> Troubleshoot tab --> Move slidebar to the left and OK out of it.
