Hi all,I loaded the above game,installed the patch and updated all the drivers on my PC but after having entered the registration code and then running check disc my PC freezes and requires a re-boot,any ideas/suggestions on how to get the game to load and run please?

According to my references - the US & Italian versions do not ship with Starforce protection (which is what your issue sounds like).

Do you know which version you have?

Hi, thanks for the replies,I have the UK english version which I believe has the Starforce protection,I did read that it can be bypassed as it does create problems but I have no idea how, any suggestions appreciated.

You could try one of the NoDVD's for the French or German versions of the game, but I can't find one for the UK version. Some people have a theory that replacing the mos.exe and moslaunch.exe files with the ones from the US version would work. The resource.map file may also be needed.

Thanks for the help but still unable to run this game,now getting message "granny2.dll missing,reinstalling application may cure this",perhaps I should shelve this game and move on!

What OS are you runing?

Just another thought; did you disable your Anti Virus software while you installed the game? The missing dll could have been mistakenly identified as a virus.

Hi,again thanks for the help/advice,have reinstalled game with patch and run both French and German patches but this game still will not load,the missing .dll message no longer appears and I am starting to lose patience,I am running XP Pro with SP3 and all drivers are up to date,short of turning this CD into an ashtray can I ask for anymore advice please?

Try the Italian (Unprotected) patch - other than that, I'm out of ideas.

The version of Starforce that shipped with the game shouldn't have any issues on XP SP3. Did it prompt you to enter a key?

Starforce has issues if you're running things like Alcohol (CD/DVD Burning Software) - you don't happen to know if you have it installed do you?

After the PC reboots (which sounds like it's installing the Starforce drivers) have you tried to restart the game?

If I remember right, you had to uninstall StarForce before the NoCD would work.
That might be part of the problem.
With Vista and Windows 7, StarForce may be blocked from installing in the first place. But I'm not sure about XP SP3.
