Just received the game and installed it, but when I went to play it, a message popped up stating that DirectX could not be initialized. What does that mean? I have DirectX already installed, and have not had any problems with any other games I've played. I have purchased games, recently, with problems. Returning the games never seems to be an option! What to do?

I did uninstall the game and reinstalled it, and re-installed DirectX, but there was no change, and I still cannot play the game.

Did the game come with its own version of DirectX 9.0c? If it did, be sure to let it install. Every game seems to have its own individual DirectX files that it wants to install.

Which of your newly purchased games are playing correctly?
What video card do you have?
A DirectX cannot be initialized message may mean your video card doesn't meet the game's requirements.
