In my opinion this game can be played by most Adventure players without problem. There are action parts but if you get killed by enemies in one scene (I think one needs to be killed twice for this to happen)the enemies in that part disappear, that is what I have found up to now. The action parts are not particularly difficult but yesterday I was a little and I kept getting killed then the enemies were there no more when I was alive again. There is a discussion open in the Darkside.

mcc, this is classified as an action adventure and is discussed here. I read the reviews and gameplay and it's not what interests pure adventurists. Ana

Thanks for the info. I did stumble on the video but was hoping for a written walkthrough. I'm at the water part with the monster following you. Cool game and I'm enjoying it.

Ana, this game is not point and click, however is based more in puzzles than action and this can be avoided by dieing sometimes once, sometimes twice and being alive again in the place you died. It is not like the Penumbra series. It is a horror game though. I though it could interest some of the adventurers, I was one adventure only player once. I may be wrong and if so forgive my posting.

I also saw the youtube walkthrough the scenes are very dark and hard to follow. mcc, I agree with you about the puzzles. And I'm just running away from the bad things that are chasing me, it works most of the time. If anyone gets stuck you can go to the the frictional games froum site that has noramal threads its here http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/forum-34.html. If you don't see and answer for the place your stuck at you can join the site and then your able to post a question. I'm finding the game very enjoyable and very addictive its hard to stop playing, I just want to keep exploring and solving puzzles. & Happy Game to Everyone playing. Marie

Great game. Not finished yet since even when most puzzles are easy some require more though or searching. Now there is a written WT HERE, I don't know how accurate it is.

According to the WT, I am not far, I have met Agrippa and managed to open the closed doors. There is a difficult spot to see to solve one of the puzzles there that took me some time. I don't know how difficult or time consuming the next puzzles are.

After one starts the part with torture chambers the stomach churning is a bit too much. One thing is the gore and monsters and the other the too graphic description of tortures, I don't like this part particularly when torture in the world has been not just fiction.
I don't know how old you need to be to download this game, I was not ask my age but it maybe because I used Steam and probably they have it in my profile. I would not advise this game for youngsters or people who get easily upset about this kind of violence.

Really a long game. Just crashed the elevator. The only time I use the trainer is so I can have a lot of tinderboxs. Makes it easy to light everything. Richard

I have a question about the controls...what key do you use to run? Also a trainer was menetioned..where do you find a trainer for this game?

linda333,
The run key is by default leftshift, you can check in options the key distribution if this is not so in your case.
This is a game where the goal is not to kill or get rid of monsters, rather to solve puzzles, monsters try and do kill you if you let them do it, however after you die and "reincarnate" the game change and either the monsters disappear or they are easier, at most it takes 2 reincarnations for them to vanish. Then you don't really need a trainer for this game since you can just let the monsters kill you and themselves apparently.
