I'm really hating the controls with this game too. Why they didn't allow PC gamers to use the mouse for the camera angle as we did in the Tomb Raider games is beyond me... I'm using a CyberSnipa gamepad, but the WASD controls aren't very accurate for the precision moves you have to make in the game. Grrr......

Oh dear this doesn't sound great that you are also having difficulty I was hoping a controller would solve the issues.
I think it's just unplayable on the keyboard there's far too many control buttons needed it gets confusing especially when I usually have controller issues anyway.
Shame as it looks a great game if it was out on xbox disc instead of on xbox live I would have just bought the game for the console as I always play the tomb raider games on the playstation or the later ones 360. The only thing I play on the pc are the adventure games and the HOGs really.

I can't imagine playing this one on a keyboard as there are a lot of control buttons. I'm OK with that because I'm using the gamepad, but it's the lack of control of the camera angle with the mouse that making it difficult. I don't know how much a controller would help. Hopefully, someone else will know more.

I find with the Tomb Raider games you can just move you mouse without clicking and you can get the camera directly behind Lara or get the correct angle you need to see or to get her to jump correctly.

Yup, that works with the Tomb Raider games, but not Guardian of Light. That's why my "Grrr....!"

That's what I mean too many control buttons I can't possibly remember all them. Do you know if a ps2 to pc usb controller converter would enable me to play this game instead of buying a new controller? I quite fancied playing as two player but don't really want to buy two new pc controllers when chances are I will only be using them for this game.

Moving the mouse gets you nothing but to change the OTS view, not Lara's position. It won't change her angle left or right in the least. You can't line her up just right with the WASD controls for a lot of moves. It's very frustrating. With the Tomb Raider games, the mouse changed her "angle" perfectly and precisely. The A or the D key will not always turn her just right to make a jump no matter where you line her up. Grrr....

I didn't buy the game cause I was having enough trouble with the demo. I do have a console type controller (though it isn't the newest available) that I plan to try to see if it helps. I couldn't even make her run up the stairs straight.
What kind of magic spell to use?

I finally figured out that you have to press both the W and either the A or D keys at the same time and then she will run straight... well, most of the time. I think I broke or cracked my thumb on the left hand yesterday down at Longmeadow and was having a little trouble with the Space key on my CyberSnipa for jump last night!
