Subject if you please! I know this must have been gone-over more than once by now. If so would someone be so kind to give me (a-link) or the like so I can finally-(load/play) this game?!! I have the retail-box verison that comes with a starforce number to be entered! (just a-little side-note) I do understand the copy-rights/protiction thing and all, especialy now a day's but if I'd known it came w/-starforce I'd never had bought it in the first place!

E.g. with my updated W-XP-32-bits.SP3(desktop) I'll get a small Starfore-window saying you must (retart your computer click-ok)! So when I do I'll get the blue-screen of death I think it's called (for a second) then my XP-desktop will just restart itself! Theirs an starforce so-called patch-link I think somewhere on this site that I used but also to no avail! It said my retail-copy was already starforce up to date.

Now with my W-7 64bits. (gaming-laptop) I'll get the very same little starforce window (not telling me to enter the starforce # that came with the game) but like that of my XP-desktop (I had to restart my computer), and I keep getting that same little starforce window over & over when I db-click on the BM-game desktop-icon but no blue-screen/auto-restart on the laptop tho!! Oh and btw both my XP-desktop and W-7-laptop will run the 'Black Mirror'-Demo just fine! Go figure lol! I might just need/have to go to gamersgate.com or the like to buy again/download the game. Their site say's the download is DRM-free!

Anyway thanks ever-so-much in advance for the reply!! Sorry for the lonnnnnnnng-post, my DEAR-WIFE tells me I can get a-little long winded/typing somtimes lol! Lord-bless & happy-gaming all!!!

Do a Google search for
Black Mirror NoCD
and follow the instructions.

If you're using XP, and you've already tried to run the game once, you'll have to uninstall StarForce before the NoCD will work. StarForce installs (or attempts to install) the first time you try to run the game. At least that's true of the older versions of StarForce like the one on Black Mirror.

If you have Vista or Windows 7, StarForce will be blocked from installing, and you don't need to uninstall it before using the NoCD.

Gamersgate is not DRM-free. It uses online activation, which should not be a problem with Vista or Windows 7, but you'll have a limited number of downloads and activations.

Whether the game itself has problems on a 64-bit operating system or not I don't know.

The game should work in XP as long as you use the NoCD and DO NOT have StarForce installed. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game won't help to remove StarForce. You have to uninstall StarForce. There are links to the remover here

Hello Jenny100: Thanks for your reply and I'm sorry for mine being delayed so! I re-read my original thread and I was not nor would I, suggest that GamersGate or anyother PC-game downloading-site is in-general terms i.e. (completely)-(DRM-free)! I should have been a-little more clear that if one goes to the (Black-Mirror-page) on their site it does say BM is DRM-free. There was no need for me to even mention that! I guess I was/am a-little annoyed because I havn't been able to play this game yet because of... well you know. I wish now I hadn't mention it in the first place because I hope I wasn't trying to promote anyother site! BTW I have no clue as to what the term NoCD means at all! I'm not an advanced PC/game-user and therefor don't know how to edit/rename or the like program-files as someother sites have suggested in regards to 'Black-Mirror'. I have however been playing PC-games for about 10-years now. Most of them just needing to be patched or the like and that I can do! Anyway thanks again for your reply! Oh and sorry for my grammar/punctuation or the lack of it I should say lol.
