Hi, l4l!

I downloaded and played the CE and, from what I can remember, I enjoyed it and have been waiting for the regular version to be released. I'm gonna download that demo to refresh my memory, though, before I buy it.

I've been wanting to play this game ever since it was released as a CE, but the fact that a sizeable number of players were unable to view some of the middle and ending cutscenes made me hesitate. What the mods said was that for some people, downloading the newest Shockwave and Adobe Flash corrected this problem, but this solution did not work for everyone.

And again, some folks experienced no problem with the cutscenes at all. duh

I may go ahead and take the plunge and play the game, but unfortunately the demo ends before you can know whether these cutscenes are going to glitch on you or not.

I played the CE, I had no problems with the cut scenes and I have the Flash and Shock wave fully updated. However, what I didn't see was the final Cut Scene, so I'm thinking nobody has seen the final cutscene as the game ends.

It's not a bad game.

Thank goodness, Susan. I started to play the demo and got De Ja Vu. I knew I'd played it before but how??? I haven't done a beta test in months... Whew... I must have tried the demo when it was first offered. If I remember I quite liked it but was already over budget.

If I recall I liked the game but didn't think it was worth the CE price because it wasn't outstanding. Not sure yet if I'll buy it.

Prices are going up everywhere except in our incomes.

Hi, NYLady!

I'm glad I was able to save your sanity lol ! I've almost bought the same games twice until the videos seemed vaguely familiar and I checked my Purchase History on BFG blush !

I still have 1 punch card credit and my BFG Club Member credit, so I think I'll use one of them to buy it.

Wow! Great game. The standard version is just as good as any CE. I particularly liked that you could use the Hint function to figure out where to go next since there's a lot of moving around. Did need to consult the walkthrough 2 or 3 times. For instance, had a hard time figuring out how to use the crane. Only negative for me was the ending - which didn't make sense to me. Otherwise, IMO this is one of the best of the year.

Based on what I have read on the Big Fish forums, some people do indeed see the final cutscene, and some don't. So, unfortunately, you have experienced this technical problem too.

I'm playing the demo. Looked at the w/t to see how long the game is. Doesn't appear very long. Is it? Thanks.

Having a big mess with the crane, put key in but made mistake and tried to do it again, the key is in the slot but this time when I try the key won't light up,does this mean I have to start over, did leave it and did other things ,went back and it still does not work used the wt,still, still can't work it. Tried to take out key,no luck there. This is a good a good game, would like to finish it instead of starting over.
Thanks.

sleuth, have you checked the walkthrough here to see if you missed anything?

Laurette, I did not finish the game, I am not sure how long it is.

I played this and remember it being a reasonable length. I enjoyed it. smile

Have you tried turning the key, sleuth? That should open the door.

Finished the CE game. The comment above was "reasonable length", I though this game was LONG!!! A LOT of running back and forth through a fairly large map. If it werent' for the hint system telling you where to go next (without resetting the hint timer) both my wife and I would not have finished the game (particularly through the fog maze). There are times when without the hint you would have no idea where to go next and could spend a lot of time wondering around.

Even after saying that, this is a GREAT game... challenging and fun. Both my wife and I felt the ending was quite weird and a little hard to fit into the story line. The bonus scenes don't clear anything up either.

All a great game and well worth the money (and time) spent.

Did use the wt. I'm in the crane and the key is in the slot. I made a mistake the first time I tried to raise the crane. But when I try again,it doesn't work. The key remains in the slot and doesn't light to show the power is on. I can raise the crane{ following the wt }but it won't put the ramp next to ship.Maybe you only get one try and have to start over.
Thanks,Cappy.

I don't whether this will help but I got very frustrated with the crane too! I then realised that one of the buttons looks like it's raising the crane when it's actually moving it either towards you or away from you & it's difficult to judge! So you think the crane is over the ramp when it's not so you need to press whatever button it is to move it (away from you I think!) smile

Re:the crane - in the BigFish w/t, step 5 says "move the right control "right" twice and up once. Tried this over and over and didn't work. So I tried moving the right control "left" twice and up once. and it worked!

Regarding the ending I have an opinion:

Tried using the spoiler controls and didn't work. Oh well.
