Thanks, and when I finish a couple of other older games, then it will a Toss-Up between CSI and Lost Horizon as to which one of the 2 to play first.

In our local Sunday newspaper there was a flyer from Best Buy advertising CSI: Fatal Conspiracy PC game for sale for $29.99.

I stopped by the store today and couldn't find it so I asked for help and the salesperson told me it was not available for the PC just the Wii, XBox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Then I showed him the flyer so he double checked his stock and coulnd't find the game.

Right now I don't know what to make of this and, as usual, Best Buy was no help.

I was wondering if anyone else saw the same Best Buy flyer?

THere are not supposed to be any PC versions in the US. I am still waiting for an explanation on the discrepancies from Ubisoft.

Yes, I saw that same ad in my local newspaper. In fact, I purchased the pc/dvd. And yep, you guessed right - no activation code! Contacted Ubisoft tech support. Awaiting their response. Will post with details when received.

It's so very sad to see them treating PC gamers this way...
I've been a loyal CSI player since the first game was released, so now it feels like a slap in the face to exclusive PC gamers like myself.

I'm assuming this one is an Adventure game like the first 4 games, and not a causal game like.. -erm- was it CSI: New York?

Moondancer -- Fatal Conspiracy is developed by Telltale Games, as was 3 Dimensions of Murder and Deadly Intent. So no, it isn't a casual game like CSI: NY which was developed by Legacy Games.
It's an adventure game.

I checked my local Best Buy and Fatal Conspiracy wasn't there.

Ah, well, good news about the format of the game - thanks Becky.

Not such good news about the seeming unavailability of the game though. I have them all on disc so far, and would love to get this one on disc as well, since my connection isn't all that wonderful, and I prefer having my games on disc anyway.

Oh, well, I'll just sit tight for a bit and wait and see.

Here's an update on my situation. I received a very prompt reply from Ubisoft tech support(1 business day) regarding the no activation code issue. I did, however, have to supply a picture of the UPC code, the disc and receipt as proof of purchase. Within 30 minutes a CD-key was issued. Viola! Had to go thru some hoops, but, I'm happy to be able to play!

Yes, Robert. I purchased the game last Wednesday. There were at least 5 copies on the shelf. It's beginning to sound as if I may have a rare pc dvd-rom that should have never made it to those shelves.

I went back to my local Best Buy today - 11/03 - and saw the same salesperson that I saw on Monday and he said before he left work yesterday he saw 3 or 4 copies of the game on a cart so that someone should have put them on shelves but there were none today so he thought they may have sold them because other people had been in asking about the game.

I guess, once in a while, I'll just stop by and see if they get any more in because right now I have quite a few games in the "queue" anyway.

Here's the scoop. The PC retail version was only made available to Best Buy. Unfortunately they were packed and shipped without a card that was needed to activate them and therefore they were pulled from sales except for a few that snuck through.

I stopped by my local Best Buy - again - today and talked to the same sales person I've spoken with before and he told me they had received one game (the other day it was three) and sold it but the person who bought it returned it because he/she couldn't get it to run.

The salesperson said the game was sent back (to wherever that is) because the game had a "fatal" error.

Is there anyway to know if the PC game will ever be available in stores?

It appears as if there were PC games, in a box, sent out to stores so there must have been some intent on selling them there.
