Exciting news for Back to the Future and Adventure lovers! What an outstanding series to make into an adventure. rah

Quote:
SAN RAFAEL, CA. -- October 25, 2010 -- Telltale Games announced today the platforms, release month and pricing for Back To The Future: The Game. The PC and Mac versions are expected to burst out of the time space continuum in December, followed shortly by the arrival of the game on the PlayStation 3 system and iPad.

The PC and Mac versions of Back To The Future: The Game are now available to pre-order for $24.95 at http://www.backtothefuturegame.com. The pre-order special includes:

* Telltale Games critically acclaimed Puzzle Agent -- $9.95 value, available for download immediately after placing order.

* For each pre-order of the series on PC and Mac from telltalegames.com, the company will donate $1.00 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

* Inclusion in special pre-release insider forum at Telltale site -- to chat with the team creating the game throughout the process

Release dates and pricing for the PlayStation(R) 3 system and iPad versions of the game will be announced at a later date.

Picking up shortly after the events of the third Back to the Future film, Marty and Doc embark on a completely new cinematic time-travel adventure. The story unfolds across five exciting episodes, with a new installment releasing each month. Telltale is creating the game in collaboration with Universal Partnerships & Licensing and film series' co-creator/co-writer Bob Gale. The games will release soon after the Blu-ray debut and DVD release of the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy on October 26, featuring all-new restorations of the classic films.

"We're very excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise with a completely new adventure," said Dan Connors CEO Telltale Games. "It's been an amazing experience to be part of reuniting Marty McFly and Doc Brown on their continuing quest. Back to the Future fans will have a great time helping to control the integrity of the space-time continuum."

A special "making of" video feature is now posted at http://www.backtothefuturegame.com , with Bob Gale and the game team sharing an inside-look at the production. The video also shows first footage of Christopher Lloyd returning to the role of Doc Brown in the recording studio and talking about his experiences making the game.

To bad the Making Of link dosen't work.

Did you know that Eric Stoltz was the original Marty McFly. He filmed for the first 5 weeks but they decided he wasn't funny enough.

Thanks Ana. It works now. I can't believe how much that guy sounds like Michael. Cool. Thanks for the update. I guess in the forum section you can sign up for the first episode free. When it comes out.

Thank you, Ana. I am so excited. I love the movies and it is great to also help with the Michael J Fox Foundation.

Thanks, Ana! I was able to get my first episode free since I have a Tell Tale account. yay As for the rest, I am going to wait for the disk version this time around. I learned my lesson with the Monkey Island episodes when the price went way down after I'd purchased them. lol

The game itself looks great! Loved the movies, and I'm also happy to see that a portion of the sales are going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. thumbsup

Greatsmitty -- we haven't heard about the interface yet, but recently the Telltale games (like Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse) have had a click-and-drag interface for moving the characters and point-and-click for hotspots (if you're using the mouse).

Loved the movies and the game sounds promising, and I like the fact that they are contributing to a good cause. Hopefully they will have a demo because I can't decide if I want to play the pc version or wait for the PS3 one.

Thanks for all the info Ana, your the best.

ANYBODY can preorder a free copy of the first epi for download right now.
I just registered and I already have a confirmation email for $0.00 USD and a Serial Number.
They will send another email when it is ready for download.
I wasn't leery of registering but for those who are here is a link to telltalegames terms of use.

Go here for the official site
telltalegames bttfoffer to register.

Its a shame that christopher lloyd is getting on now. I saw the making of video somewhere and he just goesnt have the zing in his voice like from the films anymore. frown

Wonder if they got Micheal J Fox to do marty? He aint too old to revive his role tho his condition might prevent some aspects.

I do hope they dont make it too cartoony and try to have the gfx art to be more realistic. Not seen much of the game yet but i do hope it looks better than the other tell tale games which i never liked the style of.

Skeeter, unfortunately Michael J. Fox will not be doing the voice for Marty, but they did find an actor that sounds quite a bit like him. thumbsup
