I just finished a beta version of a game being offered through Big Fish. This was my first beta trial. I was wondering if anyone knows how long after the beta trials start that the game is released for sale.

Hi, zookeeper!

I've beta tested two games. The first one wouldn't play on my computer and I've forgotten its name. The second one was "Mystery Valley" and it was released for sale about a week later. I was quite surprised because I thought it would have taken much longer, but I guess it all depends on how many bugs, if any, were discovered in the beta version.

It could be the next day or months or never. lol It all depends on if it passes their QA dept.

I beta tested one game for Big Fish over a year ago and it still hasn't been released. At other times, games I beta tested showed up a few days later. So, yes, what Ana said!

I really hope this one is released soon. It's a good one. Kind of fun getting to beta test it!

How did you become a Beta tester? Sounds like it would be an interesting and fun experience.

If you are a Club member on bigfish they choose randomly. You can sign up on GameZebo or playfirst, oberon etc and ask to test the releases as well. If you do beta test them, just remember we do not allow discussions on the board about a game you are testing.

Your right, on BigFish you may recieve a message asking if you want to beta test a specific game (not become a regular tester) and may or may not be asked again (since is random)

I got an email from BFG and jumped at the chance. I'd heard others here mentioning that they'd tested a game and never knew how they got to do that. I wondered if it was some exclusive club or something... lol
