I have downloaded the game, using
the game manager,
and installed it, then run it, the first
menu comes up,
then when I click, New game, it has the
circle then black screen, then a message
says couldnt run program..

not sure what the problem is, would appreciate
any help, Thanks!

Marcia

Marcia have you closed Defender and any other security programs before you try to play? Defender on Vista can prevent programs from running.

Have you tried running the game in Windows XP compatibility mode?

Hi Thanks for your help,
Yes, I have tried running it in XP compatibility
mode it didn't help, I also turned off my firewalls
and virus protection software.
It will open the first page, when I click play,
but then when I come to the second page, that
has the new game, save game,
ect... it hangs and goes to a black screen, then
gives the error.
not sure what to do next?
Marcia

I forgot to mention, I also deleted it, and
tried to download again, thinking maybe something
happen to the files on download?

Since you have the download version, have you noticed whether it activated itself successfully or not? If it doesn't activate, it will refuse to run. If you have a firewall blocking outbound traffic, it can prevent a game from activating.

Hi Jenny, thanks, I
thought I turned everything off...
I was looking at the properties, and noticed
that It was not checked,
the place that says,
Run this program as admisistrator, I clicked
that and after doing that the game run.
I have to admit, I really dont understand alot
about these permissions, and such..??
anyway, thanks yall, I am not sure if that is
what I needed to do, or it was something else I did earlier or both smile
thanks for your help smile
Marcia
