Wow, thanks again...will give that a try...I know I have to do that fireball puzzle. I also stumbled on an area that led me to a overhang with a light beam. I have 3 gems, red, ruby and blue. The red ones don't do anything but if I use the blue one it allows me to go into another area...this game is really confusing me now. Too many places to access. There are rock ledges strewn around but as Hyde I still can't make a jump that doesn't kill me. Is it necessary to jump here or what? Also once I have completed the fireball puzzle (if I ever make it back there) then do the claws all loosen from the door? I have done 3 puzzles, fire maze, skulls and the swinging spear room. So 3 gems so far. Any help appreciated again. I know what a pest!

No youre not a pest, dont worry about it.
The light beam room...
Yes, the blue gem. Jump across the ledges, towards the left, theres a room with another - blue - gem. I think theres one jump where he has to hang on, a bit hair-raising but OK. Try increasing his strength, cant remember if I did that.
There are 5 gems to collect (just when u thought you were nearly there!)
You still need a Yellow one, which is the fireball one. You should find that one easy with your jumping skills!
Yes, you should see all the locks on the door open. Then you have to make your way to that door.

I made it past all the puzzles. Hooray! Collected 5 gems, 2 red, 2 blue and one yellow. In this new room after placing the tome book on the table a door opens. I go thru and I am in a room with lava pools and round indents in the floor. There are indents in the back walls where you can place the gems. I have put 4 of them in these indents. Csn't find a place for the 5th gem. Also a hideous machine has risen up in the middle of the floor. So do I use this 5th gem and if so where? I don't know if there is any order for the placement of the colours. It didn't seem like there was a regimented placement pattern. I have a terrible feeling I have to fight this hideous machine. The holes in the floor look the room with the fire maze...fire coming up thru the holes perhaps. Ugly thought. O.K. then am I on the right track here because it doesn't seem like I have done everything necessary. Thank you once again. I couldn't have made it past all the puzzles without your help.

I've defeated the mechanical monsters and am now ion the tunnel. I've found a crowbar and a lantern which I lit with my paraffin and matches. I've examined all the equipment but can't seem to do anything else. What do I do now? Thanks for any help. I'm beginning to hate this game (so frustrating) but seem to bed obsessed to do it.

Linda, if you look at the colours on the dragon machine, they are Blue at the top, then Red, then Yellow, then Purple. So place the gems in that order in the wall slots, putting both Red and Blue in the bottom one.
The aim of this is to make the machine use up all its power, so you stand in front of it and let it fire at you. Press 1 to 4, especially 4, to keep your immunity up. Might have to run around a bit while the cool potion restores. Eventually you'll see the lights on the things head going out and eventually it will die. Get the page, place it with the book.

Gamil...
Just about all the bits you will need should have already been covered in different posts.

Linda, well, you just said it LOL!
Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple - and purple is made up of another red and another blue gem.
You can't be missing any gems as I'm fairly sure you can't reach this stage without all 5, unless theres a bug.
Oh, are you getting the single blue AT THE TOP, and the blue+red at the bottom?

Yes I have 5 gems...but there are only 4 places to put them, is that correct? So to get the purple I put 2 gems in one bottom spot or not? So sorry having a bad brain day here...just can't get it done correctly....O.K. you can't place 2 gems in one opening...so I will have one gem without a place to put it. Is that right or not? Wow, talk aboout a brain disfuntion happening here or what!

Yes, 4 slots, but it lets you put 2 gems in the bottom one, so thats 3 single gems in the top 3 slots and 2 in the bottom ONE making 5 in all.

Got it! Thanks so much again.

====================
finally made it past the lava room and go the last page of the tome book. Have met up with arch enemy once again. Now in an area with boxes that can be moved around. What is the purpose of the boxes being moved? Do I need to place them somewhere to climb up to another area perhaps? Can't see where I need to go here as then stairs don't lead anywhere. Trying to get to a save so I can take a break. Thanks....

I have done the first part of the boxes. I can jump from my first boxes onto a ledge. From there I am overlooking room 2. I have stacked boxes (2) in that room. I can jump onto these but once there I don't see an area to jump to regarding reaching a ladder etc...I could use some help in locating the ladder I need to reach. Thanks...

There are already some boxes you can jump onto in room 2. From inside the room, you would see boxes on each side of the doorway, with the 2 boxes you moved between them. The walkway to aim for is behind the boxes on the right. So from the ledge between the rooms, jump onto the nearest stack of 3 boxes, down onto the 2 boxes next to them, leap across to the 2 moved boxes then onto the far boxes, then onto the walkway and up the ladder. Theres a save at start of next bit.

Start with the left puzzle, at the top, rotate each blob, go clockwise. Do the same with the other side.

I am still confused. There is a white and brown stone in the two lower side trays and a circle of dots that fill in or empty when you touch any dot or stone in each tray.Where do you start to click on and where do you click on last?

The central circle of blobs. Fill in each one starting at the top as explained, do them all, clockwise, then start doing the same on the circle on the right-hand wall. After about 5 (I think) of these, Athena gives up her mirror.
