Hi everyone!

I need to install a new firewall other than Zonealarm. I found out that Zonealarm and the new Avast ver. 5 do not work together. For days I have not been able to get IE8 to work, it freezes up on me. I unstalled zonealarm and it now works. I'm just using windows firealarm, but want something better.

Has anyone else had this problem? It happen to me once before when I was using AVG, that's when I switched to avast.

Thank you,
Linda

It's not free, but I use Norton Internet 2011 and I've never had an issue with it. A 3 PC license cots me less than $50.00 a year.

I used Zonealarm for years but it eventually started to bog my PC's down so I dumped it.

Not really free either (one time fee) But I use Outpost Firewall Pro with it's Lifetime License.

They have also released a free version of their security suite (with both anti-virus and firewall)
