For all the reasons mentioned in numerous other threads I never download games that have drm. Today I saw the DVD version of Drawn the painted tower in an actual store and I thought of buying it, but then I saw the system requirements mentioned internet explorer. Does this mean this needs online activation, just like the download?
The store had several Big Fish titles and most did not mention internet explorer.

Can there be another reason for having internet explorer in the system requirements?

Handsfree, have you contacted BigFish Customer Support to see what they have to say? They are very good at responding in a timely manner.

OK, got a reply from Big Fish today. In Dutch, but roughly translated it says: I see Internet Explorer is indeed required. This is probably because the Game Manager uses components of IE and could give errors if Internet Explorer is not installed. You never need to activate our CD-ROM games online. So we are cool there. Now how is Drawn a casual game? I've always heard it referred to as adventure light. Does it have match 3 or HOG screens? Or do I need another thread for that?

DRawn is a game that rather borders between an Adventure Lite (it was designed with Casual gamers in mind) and a full fledged adventure. The second one seemed even more full fledged adventure than the first one. Sometimes it's a tough call where and how to categorize games. Ana

Looks like the only way I can get it on disk IS by buying the "two game" pack - so I've ordered that - from Amazon UK Thank you both !!

Yes !! I don't play many Casual or Adventure Light games - just the odd one here and there - but the original "Drawn" was a a very nice experience. As also was The Hound of the Baskervilles with Sherlock. [But then I do have a bias towards Frogwares ]
