I'm having trouble playing T.R. Underworld on Windows 7 (64bit)
I have an M.S.I.
Intel Core i-3-350M
4G ram, 500G HDD
I cant find info on my video card- Intel HD Graphics ?

The game plays okay but will not save. It says it is saving but when I load that saved "spot" I go back to the beginning of the Level.
So far I am only in Level 1- Med Sea
Any help?
Thanks

Try running the game elevated to administrator mode. Right click the shortcut, select properties and choose run as administrator.

As an alternative, reinstall the game to your user folders; those under C:\Users\Your Logon Id\ (My Documents will work just fine).

If the game was installed to the Programs folder, Windows will not allow updates to it by anything other than an Administrator task or the Windows Installer (it's a security thing).

Blackfurie, that is the way the game saves. If you save and leave the game, only your progress as far as items picked up etc. is saved. You will always start at the beginning of the level when you open the game up again.

The save system itself with the circle thingie is sort of confusing also.

Ah, it's been too long ago - I don't recall having to start from the beginning of each level. But now that you mention it, it does ring a bell smile

Like that little "ding-a-lingy" bell sound when you reach a checkpoint? whistle I'll have to start the game up again to be sure a restart takes you to the beginning of the level and not to a checkpoint. I THINK if you get killed within the game you start again at a checkpoint, but if you exit the game and restart, you are taken back to the beginning of the level.

Thanks for the info. I don't usually play this sort of game, I'm more of a MYST, Riven player!
Well I'll have to get much better if I don't want to be bored to death-LOL
I'm also playing on a laptop with the finger scrolly pad and that's just annoying. Maybe I should splurge on a controller smile

Just get a mouse that plugs in with USB, I don't think I could ever play a game of any sort with just a touch pad on a laptop. I don't even like cordless (unless it is a real good one) with a laptop.

What kind of magic spell to use?

Indeed there is no way to play a game like Tomb Raider Underworld without a mouse and (for me anyway) my CyberSnipa keyboard gamepad.

It is an awesome game thought with really great graphics and just tons of fun.

Blackfurie you definitely need a mouse with this game. I think you can choose to play in "easy mode" in this one. That can be very helpful for a first time. Good Luck and enjoy!
