Sorry, couldn't find thread. Was going to buy this game for Pres. Day. Clicked Buy: 6.99
Found unit price 10.21? What's up with that?

I really enjoy mornings. I just wish they came later in the day.

That's puzzling. Did you apply the coupon code FELIX in the shopping cart?

I just tried it myself (Fear for Sale) and it accepted the coupon code and all looked correct; it gave me the discount and showed the total as $4.99.

Again, sorry, Marion. There was no reply thingy for me to click. I did the FELIX. This time it just took my credit. Got the game, so okay.

Okay. Did you hit apply after you put in the coupon code? It should then have taken the amount down to 4.99 and overrode the game credit, though, still leaving you with your game credit. I do this all the time when there is a sale and I want to buy something but hang on to my unused game credits. wave

I dont know if there is a gremlin in the works, but I had to make several attempts at buying some games in the Sale today. I put in FELIX code, clicked Apply, and the $4.99 price came up. Then each time I moved on to the next page (Submit?), it had taken all my monthly game credits as payment, and the price for the rest of the games had gone up to $6.99.

All went well on the third attempt..... but just so frustrating headscratch

That happens to me all the time whenever I'm applying a coupon code. It applies the code initially...and then when I add additional games or proceed to the next page, it takes out the code and applies my game club credits. All I do is reapply the coupon code on the second page and it works. It must be software glitch that occasionally rears its head.

Yes, I must admit, this is for sure not the first time this has happened to me either....

You really have to pay attention from screen to screen to make sure the process works correctly. Otherwise you end up using up game credits instead of coupon codes.

I have never had any difficulty with the system not overriding an unused game credit when I apply a coupon code, but I always pay careful attention. I also never run more than one game through the shopping cart at a time. wave

Yes, this proves that you have to double check every single screen before you move on.

You only buy one game at a time, Marian? That would have taken me forever today.

Sshhhh....... Do not let on how many games you bought today whistle

When I buy more than 1 game during a sale, I load up the shopping cart first and then apply the coupon code. That way it applies it to everything in the shopping cart. wink

The best math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of current decisions.

Good advice. And "loading up the shopping cart" has a nice ring to it, too! laugh

I also don't like to buy more than 1 or 2 games at a time because of the way they install. If I buy just one game, I can install just that one game easily by clicking the install button by that purchase.

When you have more than 1 game purchased at a time the install button will apply to all games on that purchase. So the GM will try to install all at one time. You can override this by clicking the trashcan by each game you do not want to install then, but it's just an extra step that I don't like.

Guess it's extra steps when shopping or extra steps when installing -- whichever you prefer.

I just don't have all my games installed at the same time and like to install them 1 or 2 at a time.
