Slip Space was made last year and should work with Windows 7. You can get it from the developer's website here http://64.150.166.24/DownloadSlipSpace.phpThe other games are older and I'd have to look them up. Some of them would probably work best inside an emulator like VirtualPC.

jchin, Don't forget to use the link at the top of the page to read the Gameboomer reviews of any of the games that catch your interest.
It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

I just downloaded Slip Space. HMMMMMMMMm it has a guy with brain problems and hallucinations. That sounds like me trying to get through Rhem 4 . I think most of the games that Jenny 100 sugested are too old for a new Windows 7 system. The two I am wondering if might work are Schizm and Aura 2. If anyone knows if they are Windows 7 compatable, please let me know. Thanks so much all.

Hi jchin, You will find the answer to your Schizm ? here. Schism Judith is playing the 4-CD version on her 64-bit with no problems. You can also look HERE for some games that are playable on other OS.

These are much older and more just puzzle to puzzle but maybe even 7th Guest and 11th Hour could go on your list. They may be difficult with Windows 7 but they have just released 7th Guest for the iphone. Also, Shivers 1 and 2 Please give us more suggestions. These are my favorite kind of games too!!

Thanks for the info for Outcry. I had Shivers I & II, and loved them, but neither would play in windows 7. I tried Shivers in the Virtual XP mode, and it half played but screen was very small and it jumped all over the place. so they both went good-bye. Shizm is Mysterious Journey....right? I have and played Mysterious Journey II on Windows 7, but I think Mysterious Journey I might be too old, Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have a couple of games to play from it. v:)

jchin sounds like the new game Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok might be one you will like. Take a look at Rushes review.

Schizm is Mysterious Journey....right? I have and played Mysterious Journey II on Windows 7, but I think Mysterious Journey I might be too old, If Mysterious Journey 2 works on your computer, Sentinel probably will too. Sentinel is made by the same company as Mysterious Journey 2 and uses the same game engine. The first Schizm uses a completely different game engine and you might have problems with it on a new computer. When I played it in Windows 2000 it had audio problems. I had Shivers I & II, and loved them, but neither would play in windows 7. I tried Shivers in the Virtual XP mode, and it half played but screen was very small and it jumped all over the place. I'm not too surprised that Shivers wouldn't work in XP Mode. Shivers was made for Windows 3.1/95/98 and XP Mode is meant for programs that were made for XP. The small screen size was due to the fact that Shivers runs in 640x480 resolution and unlike later games, does not automatically change your screen resolution when you start the game. You'd have to reduce your desktop resolution to make Shivers appear larger on the screen. Many older games, including Shivers and any game that uses an old version of QuickTime, work great in Virtual PC. Since there are so few of these Myst/Riven-like games, it might be worth your while to set up Virtual PC on your computer. You'd need a Windows 98 install disc to install Windows 98 on the Virtual machine. There are instructions ***here***.
