I am playing Amnesia the Dark Descent and cannot get past the cellars. (Not quick enough for the water monster) Is there a way to get past this. I have tried for 2 days. I might not be in the right forum to ask this question. Can anyone direct me where to go if I am in the wrong place.

My impression (I've read about the game but not played it) is that this is a Dark Side game. Confirmation, anyone?

By doing a forum search it seems that the vast majority of posts are over at the Darkside.

Yes, it's Darkside. I've played it twice. You can go to a walkthrough for some tips, but I also spent at least a day getting past the water monster, so you aren't alone.

Have you gotten to the far room yet or are you still in the side room? On some of the boxes are *yuck* body parts. If you pick them up and throw them away from where you need to jump next, the water monster will go eat them and give you an extra second or two to get to the next box.

Just do a Google search for walkthroughs and you'll find quite a few of them.

No I still am at the beginning. I can get to the first romm but cannot make it to the 2nd room.

I did a Google search. It took me awhile, but I did find saved games someplace. There is a saved game after the stupid boxes, but you will have to guess which one is the right one.
