Well, as you can imagine....I was so excited that this game is finally out! I wasn't sure if my computer would play it, so I dl'd the demo and it works fine through the opening movie scene, but then, when the game starts, I can hear the woman speaking, but can't see her or the dialogue.
I upgraded my video drivers and installed DirectX that came with the demo.
Any ideas??

Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset

Thanks for the quick response Richard.
I would think that if my video card wasn't up to speed, then I would'nt be able to see the opening movie scene, would I?

i disabled my anti virus too and updated the drivers.

Please help...I SO want to play this game!

I don't think the game will play without a video card. Onboard chipset won't play a lot of games.

I have the game manual right here. smile This is what it states are the minimum Intel requirements for the graphics card:

Intel GMA X3200

I'm not overly techie when it comes to graphics cards, so hopefully someone else can advise if your card comes up to scratch or not, or what else needs to be done. luck

That's weird, because I can play a lot of the newer games.
maybe this game is too advanced for my computer.
Is there a way to install a newer video card?

The video cards don't cost that much and easy to inatall. Make sure you get the right one to fit your pc.

I really don't know but I think just the opening scene works but when you get into the game it draws more on your chipset and it won't work. the video card I have is a GeForce 9400 gt. I can play any games on my pc. I think I paid $50.
There are two types of video cards (agp and pcie) How old is your pc? Richard

At the risk of showing my lack of knowledge in video cards.....may I ask if this one would work for my computer? I have an Express Chipset now.

XFX nVidia GeForce 9400GT 512 MB DDR2 VGA/DVI PCI-Express Video Card PVT94GYHH2
by XFX

It's on sale at Amazon for about $41.

The OEM recommends a minimum 350 watt power supply, and I believe you only have 300, so there could be issues.

There are several in-game options that allow you to control the graphics settings. Try lowering each to its minimum value. Disable Anti Aliasing if it's been specified as well.

If it's custom made rig probably not. If it's a major brand like Dell, you can usually view the Technical specs for the model.
