I am in day two , I went to see the violent patient already. Then went to cell 1 , I played both PDA recordings, however clicking on the patient only gives me , "there must be some way to reach him." I have played the messages several times. Even exited out of the game and back in thinking its a glitch or something. Nothing. Im at a loss of what to do next. I cannot get him to talk to me or have a flashback. What should I do? When I hit "playback" is it playing for the patient or for me? frustrated!! please any help is appeciated. smile

I haven't played in years, but here is what Nickie's walkthrough states:
Quote:
November 12, Monday morning:

Look at the mirror, need to tell the hotel porter. Go outside the hotel, and then back in to tell the porter about Ryker. Go to the hospital and talk to Dr. Young in the booth.

Go to cell five, and Dave will automatically be returned to the hallway. Go to cell one. Playback the audio recording Dave made the previous day, which will be listed in the PDA according to when it occurred, not when it was recorded by Dave ( here it would be 11/10, night, part one). Highlight the pertinent audio tape, and click on play, get the PDA off the screen by clicking on the round button, and click on the patient (same procedure throughout game).

Hope it helps till someone with better comes along.

Yes I did all that , Except look in the mirror at the hotel, I already told the porter about it , and played both audio playbacks for the patient. I will go back to the hotel and try the mirror thing . Then back to the hospital. I am also following Nickie's walkthrough. Thanks for advice . smile

Thanks, Ana.

Strange that you cannot get the flashback to happen. Double check that you're in the correct cell, and that you're playing back the appropriate audio clip. Dave will always make a "hmmm" noise when you play the right clip. If he stays silent then it's the wrong one.

Hope the replay shakes it loose, keep us posted.

I had to go back and check the mirror. Apparently everything is linear. It all worked out. I finished the game this weekend. Thank you so much for the help. I am currently downloading Going Downtown and hoping to start that some time today. Again, much appreciated. smile
