Well.... I'm having fun with my new computer. But sometimes games or programs hangs, like if there's a second program that wants to run or or the menu for turning of the computer comes up frown

So I'm wondering if it's possible to do a clean reinstall windows 7 without the current program files folder being kept on the hard drive?

Do you have a Windows 7 DVD?

If you have a Windows 7 DVD, you can format the hard drive and reinstall Windows 7. You'll have to reinstall drivers too, but Windows 7 may be able to locate them on the Internet automatically. You'll probably also have to reactivate Windows somehow.

Is your computer a brand name (like Dell or Gateway or HP) or is it custom built?

Yup, I have the windows 7 DVD amongst the other other computer related ones. How do I format the hard drive? (was much easier on windows XP)
Are there any problems with reactivating windows 7 (after everything is done)

My computer is custom build, since that way I can upgrade it when I need to.

Check ***About.com's step by step instructions for a clean install of Windows 7***

They have a series of webpages with a picture of what you'll see on the screen during that step of the procedure. Look through all of them. As you'll see, you have to go through quite a few steps until you get to the part with the ***Advanced Drive Options*** where you can choose which partitions to remove.
The ***following step*** shows how you delete what you don't want.
