Just wondering if any of you Avast users use this, and if it slows down your computer upon booting up. It looks like a good thing to have clicked, but if it makes my computer buggy I may not want to do it.

Avast works really well with Explorer, but I've found that the latest version of Firefox clashes with it, and I've had some crashes. So I'm back to Explorer for now. Might try Opera.

I use Avast, I am not having problems with FireFox but I do not have 4.0 loaded..was going to but I think I will wait now. I did load Chrome 2 weeks ago and LOVE it!! you might want to give it a try.

I also use Avast and have not experienced any problems with it. I am using the boot scan with a WinXP system. Boot scans are important because malware can start during the boot process.
I prefer SeaMonkey but have tested Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 8. Neither has a problem with Avast.

I'm using 4.0.1 (Firefox) which just upgraded a few days to a week ago, so that might be the problem.

I guess I'll enable Avast to run during bootup and see what happens.

Thanks all!
