I have been playing Edna and Harvey on Win 7, Asus computer. It runs fine for awhile, then I get this error. No JVM could be found. Please define Exe4J_Java_Home to point to an installed 32 bit JDK or JRE.
I went to the Java site and tried to download it, but it said I have the latest version?

So not sure what to do?
thanks
Marcia

It doesn't seem to be an error specifically related to the game. It's related to installing newer versions of Java over older ones -- and how you sometimes need to remove the old Java completely before installing the new one. I found ***this thread*** which has some suggestions on how to do it.

Thanks Jenny, I will take a look at it,
so even though the error comes up, at the point
I click on the Enda and Harvey game, its because of Jave old versions? even though it worked for a few weeks? off to look at the thread..
Thanks,
Marcia

Did you notice Java updating itself recently?
That might have done it.

I'm not sure what else to try besides uninstalling all Java and then installing the latest version.

Of course it could also be a problem with the game, but the error message you have suggests a Java problem according to my Google searches.

Hi Jenny, Yes I did have a update just before this problem, I first tried uninstalling all other versions but still had the error, then uninstalled the last version and re installed it, and still get the same message.
I wonder if I need to reinstall the Edna game, so it will see the current version of java again?
How do I save the saved Games if I do this, or will I lose them?
I did this once, when I got rid of the older versions of java, and even though I had the saved games in the saved games folder, the game didnt show them when I went to load them.
the game did work for awhile again? Then I had the error message again, but not till after another six hours of play.
Thanks again, Marcia

If Edna is like most adventure games, it will have a save folder somewhere, possibly in My Documents.

Unless the error always happens at the same place in the game so you can't get past it, it might be easiest just to put up with it and remember to save regularly.
