It seems like most here have already embraced game downloading. Kept thinking (& saying) I'd do it, too... but never quite got to that point.

Well. Bigfish changed that. Couldn't resist its half-off sale ($4.99), so I decided to begin my foray into 21st-Century gaming with some of the Nancy Drew games I refused to get for the past couple years.

My last boxed game was Crystal Skull. So after re-reading the reviews here, I decided to get Phantom of Venice, Castle Malloy, and Waverly Academy (Ransom was very arcade-game heavy, so I skipped it).

Now, no more game clutter... as most of you already know. And at such a low price, it really made it difficult to say "no"... to downloading and a return to Nancy Drew. grin

Have fun catching up on your games. You really can't beat BigFish prices.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Well done Carrie! Especially because the game publishers keep saying that the future is in downloading wink

Carla,
I am afraid you are right and I must admit that my collection of beautiful boxed games is getting smaller and smaller.

No Mad I',m with you but that $4.99 is hard to beat! lol

Carrie enjoy Waverly Academy. It was like playing the old ND games!

I'm debating about getting ND's Twister at that price!

Dear forest animals,
I've been singing for over an hour, where are you?

Began my sojourn in Venice... chasing the Phantom, and am enjoying it.

Kept re-playing the cardgame "Scopa" because I liked it.. not knowing whether winning was needed to progress in the game. Turns out it was, but nothing was timed.. no pressure.. no finger dexterity, plus there was even help from my opponent.

Ana~ Having so much fun, I didn't come online yesterday... almost didn't today either.
Carla & Mad~ I bet GameBoomers was first in trying to gently nudge us all to --at least-- acknowledge that downloading will be the inevitable future of gaming. Not to fret, Mad... nothing wrong with holding out... I thought that I was the only one.
SpaceQuestFan~ Thanks.. I like it a lot, too. It's one of GameBoomer's 'stock' avatars from way back in 2001... nice color combo.
Bisbet~ If Waverly is even more like vintage ND than Phantom of Venice... I'm glad I finally came back!
