I've played Grim Fandango on my XP laptop, but I had to restart many times after losing audio or after having other issues. I've read all the suggestions about disabling hyperthreading and using compatibility modes, but in the end it was a fairly choppy gaming experience. The game itself is one of my favorites, and I've always wanted to replay it without all the interruptions.
I recently came across the Residual game interpreter for Grim Fandango (on SourceForge). I can't endorse it, since I haven't tried it yet. They claim that while there are still bugs to be fixed, the game can be completed with a few minor glitches. Has anyone tried this out?
