I wasn't in my own bed. I woke up in Aleroth with a kindly healer explaining to me that orcs had attacked me and had left me unconscious. A wandering cat had lead the healer to me.

Now in gratitude for having saved my life I have to save the world in Divine Divinity. I have played and replayed this game many times and I enjoy it each time. It was the game that seduced me to the Darkside.

Talking about beds ... eventually I will find a portable bed to carry with me in my inventory. How convenient.

I love the game! My first dip into RPG's and it will always have a place in my heart.

Hi Rowan and everybody. I loved that game too but talking of beds, I was reminded of my current Morrowind-ing and how I try to sleep in everyone's beds! Sometimes I can get away with it, other times I get caught and get arrested and/or booted out of whatever Guild I'm in at the time. LOL I can't help but laugh when it happens.....like sleeping is SUCH a huge crime!

smile Tracy, off to Morrowind again....

I love this game too! It has the most wonderful music. (I use it to sew by.) The other bed I really enjoy waking up in is in Outcast, where I found myself on a mysterious planet for of charming...er...people.

Oh I loved Divine Divinity! I remember once I lost the portable bed. I couldn't find it anywhere, and then I found it in the middle of the road in a city or village, lol. lol

There was so much good humor in that game too. Isn't that the one where one skeleton says to another, "If we're skeletons, what's holding our bones up?" and they collapse? Or was than one of the Neverwinter ones?

What a great game it is. I liked the sequel, too, but not nearly as much.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

What is this portable bed? I did find a piano I could carry around but not a bed. Where do you find it?

The portable bed is in an empty house just south of the cursed abbey (or maybe it was the church). You can also make "hay" by dragging a bale of tied straw to your inventory and also dragging a loose bundle over the tied bundle in your inventory. This combination becomes hay and you can sleep on it and carry it around like a bed in your inventory. It works only if you leave it in your inventory. If you drop it on the ground you can't pick it up again. So since my initial waking up in Aleroth I have now been camping all over the farmlands and wilderness and various dungeons using my pile of hay in the inventory.

Wow, thanks, Rowan. Looks like I need to play DD again, both to find the bed and to camp out.
