Helo all , I have seen from another thread somebody else also had this problem. I removed an old java, reinstalled the newest one, checked all my drivers etc . I am now re-installing the game with new Java installed on my Vista laptop. Hopefully it will work. I also ran into the Steam popup window telling me to enter my code. Grrr what a pain!! Anyway hopefully all of this will work. I keep getting a Java.lang type error with a paragraph of "stuff" under it. I sure hope this game is worth all the trouble. If this doesn't work I will be back for further advice and will email Viva Media as well. Sigh, I just wanted to play , did not realize how complicated it would be. I'll keep you posted if the game runs for me or not. Thanks !!

Is that the latest version of Java?

it looks like the latest version is version 6 update 26.
It looks like you have version 20.1.
Maybe your old Java version didn't uninstall completely.

I did update to the newest version of Java 26 , It was still crashing. I installed then re-installed after removing an older version. Anyway it DID run after I right-clicked and ran as administrator, YAY! So I have no idea why that worked What a pain!! I would have replied earlier yesterday , but was busy playing, it really is a cute game. Not sure if it was worth all the effort yet, but opinion still pending as it is early in the game still. Thanks for the help!

OK. Glad you found the fix.

It probably installs to the Program Files folder, which is protected under Vista and above. You can continue to run the game with administrator privileges, or reinstall it under your user folders.

Your user folders are located under C:\users\your-logon-id.
