Been playing for over an hour now and I am really disappointed in the game. So far it is repetitious and boring. The controls are horrible. I have tried every setting to adjust the camera hoping it would not make me dizzy. Nothing works.

The game is way too "Mario Bros." format for me. I can't wait to read professional reviews of the game. I can't imagine them being that good. And maybe it's just me. Who knows? All I know is that I am sick for spending $50 I did not really have to spend on the game.

Anyone else playing let me know your thoughts.

I take it you missed my comment in your thread here.

I have read horrible reviews.

Uninstalled the game. Awful, pathetic. Frame rate is a joke. Went to the forums for help. To get a good frame rate you need to go into a folder (Alice engine) and make some changes. I gave up. Hopefully they will come out with a patch. After paying $50 I feel I should not have to go into a folder and make changes.

That's a shame. I'm hoping FEAR 3 will get good ratings now or I'll really be dissappointed.

Awwww JB, I'm with you. I know there are many PC configurations out there, but being asked to change files to get a new game to play decently seems a bit sloppy on the maker's part.

Fingers crossed for a patch for you (and others in the same boat.)

My son hinted that it may be in the works for Father's day (good thing too - I was going to download it).

If it's only having to go into the game folder to make some configuration changes, it's not such a big deal. But it's sloppy of them not to let you do that from the game's options menu.

Jenny, maybe not a big deal for you, but I'd be terrified. I once turned a brand new computer into a paperweight by removing a file so a game would play. Hubby said not to, but the net said that was how to fix the problem and I really wanted to play the game. Now I keep my fingers out of files. lol

Well I got it yesterday for PS3 and I didn't have extreme expectations for it as it wasn't a main brand game coming out. The creepy enemies and creative "Wonderland" were really nice, all though in some cutscenes Alice looks almost real or that of a doll and other scenes she's very frail looking. The actions of jumping on platforms and enemies can get repetitive but the scenery changes and the new enemies are introduced enough to keep my interest. I really do want to see what happens to her sanity and "Wonderland". I'm only on either end of Chapter 2 or very beginning of Chapter 3 (didn't check). I did not buy this, it was given to me by my dad. So, as far as price is concerned for PS3 I'd wait for used or lower price somewhere else. All in all though, it's not too bad. I don't know about the PC version--her moves may not run as fluid. Hope that clears some stuff up smile

As long as you don't change anything outside the game folder, there's no way you'll hurt your computer. At most the game wouldn't play.

Dreamer, I'm glad you are enjoying it.

Jenny, I removed a hotfix file whistle Now I just assume a game that won't play is one I don't need to play. lol

Wow, I don’t know what the general consensus is, but I think it's a fantastic game. I haven't been able to put it down. It seems to me that anyone that liked the first game should love this one as well.

Maybe if I could get a decent frame rate I could possible enjoy the game. I am waiting to see if indeed there will be a patch. As of now the game is barely playable on my computer.

Well I am playing Jericho & Bioshock with no problems. All the settings are set to max. So I'd say yes. I read there are some issues with certain graphics cards. However it did not mention mine. Mine is the Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT. 512.00 RAM

Yeah, I could see how that might be an issue. I just upgraded to a GTX 460 (1MB) card. I does a fairly good job keeping up with it.

This website has an interesting system requirements tool that indicates your video card is not up to snuff. Game Debate

I know the feeling - I had to order a new power supply yesterday. I groaned loudly when my power supply tester showed my relatively new one was bad.

Is there a decent graphics card out there that would run the game for under $150.00?
