I was wondering if anyone has encountered this with Black Mirror 2: Initial cutscenes display just fine, but when game play starts, the screen is white. The only things that display are the game icons in the corner, hint popup on the upper left, hot spot indicators and subtitles.
I'm running in XP with a Radeon 2600 graphics card (256M). I've tried several screen resolutions from max to min, and tried moving the graphics quality slider all the way down, but I get the same result.
When I run dxdiag and test the 3D graphics, the cube is spinning out of control, way too fast (its DirectX 9.0c). Any ideas?

When I first saw the problem, I updated to the latest driver for the card I'm using, but there was no difference.
Do you think the game is just not compatible with the graphics card I'm using? I haven't run into this with any other recent games.
I point, therefore I click.

You should probably roll back your drivers a few times to an earlier date. New is not always best. I had to roll back my drivers for this game. Check out the Radeon site for your card and choose an earlier version of video driver than the one you have now. That's what I had to do with a NVidea card. It is almost guarenteed to work.Good luck and let us know how it goe's for you. Cathy

You should probably roll back your drivers a few times to an earlier date. New is not always best. Especially with older cards like yours. The current generation of the Radeon series is the HD 6000 series, so the Radeon HD 2600 is 4 generations old. The latest drivers tend to be optimized for the latest generation of video cards. You can find ATI drivers for desktop computers here http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspxThe "previous drivers" page is ***here***.

Thanks for the advice, Jenny100 and Cathy1. I tried rolling back the driver version by a few releases from where I started, but it is still giving me a white screen. I might try re-installing the game, but if that doesn't work I may have to put the game on hold until I get a newer computer.

Just a thought.Did you turn down your hardware acceleration and forgot to turn it back up again ?

Woo-hoo! I re-loaded the latest video driver and checked the Catalyst Control Center settings, and noticed some sliders were turned to lowest quality (performance optimized rather than quality optimized). I set some to medium quality and others to automatic and now the graphics are working fine! (I tried the dxdiag 3D test and now the cube is spinning as usual).
I think I must have tweaked those settings six games ago when I was trying to get Grim Fandango to work, and then forgot about putting them back. (Although I have run the dxdiag test since then and don't remember encountering the out of control spinning cube).
The game graphics look very high quality...this is gonna be a fun game. Thank you both for your help!
