For some reason Netflix is hard to block even with my pop up blocker. Maybe one of the techhies here can offer some insight.

I just visited the site and there were no pop-ups. What browser are you using?

I went to the site in IE, Firefox and Chrome and did not get any popups either.

I got a Netflix popup when I clicked on a recipes list on Food Network, I just closed it and it didn't come back.

What kind of magic spell to use?

When I started clicking around in IE9, I could see that a popup flashed, but the popup blocker killed it. I didn't get it at all in either Chrome or Firefox.

I'm able to reproduce it under Google Chrome, but not under IE 9.

The pop-up site is: cdn.optnd.com - so, depending on your browser, you have a couple of options.

If IE's pop-up blocker doesn't prevent it, you can manually enter the URL under the Restricted Sites settings. Click Tools, Internet Options, Security and select Restricted Sites. Highlight the icon, press the sites button and enter the URL above.

After you restart your browser, the pop-up's should disappear.

For all other browsers - (including IE)

Modify your HOSTS file. Different versions of Windows may store the file in different locations, but...

Clict Start, Accessories and select notepad (for Vista and above right click the shortcut and the choose Run as Administrator). Click File, Open and peruse to:

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc --- click HOSTS to open it.

Set the filetype to *.* (All Files) - add the following line as the last entry and save.

127.0.0.1 cdn.optnd.com

This is what the entire file should look like when you're done -

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 cdn.optnd.com
