Just started the game & was wondering if the screen could be made a bit brighter.
Think I read once that the Gamma (under Options) has something to do with it. Is this correct & can it be adjusted to make the game a bit brighter? I don't want to fool with anything until I ge your expertise on it.

Yes the gamma control should brighten the screen.
If you don't like how it looks, you can always change it back the way it was.
