I missed an important interview: http://tap-repeatedly.com/2011/06/10/exclusive-interview-arenanets-jon-peters-and-jonathan-sharp/ I think biggest news is that elementalist and necromancer have had major changes since revealed, the necromancer no longer goes into Death Shroud when downed, but now has a normal downed state. Also when ending Death Shroud necromancer no longer teleports back to where they were when they started the Death Shroud.

BTW in GW1 I finally beat Dhuum, completing the Underworld, on my monk.

No, but Guild Wars 1 players can get special items in Guild Wars 2, they're strictly cosmetic, wont give me an advantage over someone who has never played GW1. And apparently Guild Wars 1 character names will be reserved for Guild War 2, so somebody else can't take my GW1 character names to use in GW2.

The third Guild Wars book will apparently be The Sea of Sorrows by Ree Soesbee, Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 writer responsible for lore. Her writings were the best parts of human, norn and charr weeks at guildwars2.com. Presumably she'll write stories for asura and sylvari week when those come later.

NC Soft, Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 publisher (but not developer, that's Arenanet), is going to make some big announcement this weekend at San Diego's Comic-Con. Naturally, lots of Guild Wars 2 fans hoping its the release date, but NC Soft does have other games in the works.

This blog on the comic con http://www.arena.net/blog/arenanet-is-heading-to-comic-con has a header graphic titled asura_blog_header fueling speculation that Asura week is coming. I hope so hasn't been a race week in some time. After Asura, only Sylvari would be left and they've supposed to have redone the sylvari art work. When they do demoes now and a sylvari appears they tell people "the sylvari don't look like that anymore" but haven't yet revealed what they do look like now.

Oops I got the NC Soft announcement date and location wrong. Its not at this weekends convention in California, its not until mid August in Germany.

This weekends convention probably not going to have any GW2 news. Arenanet is there but they've said its not a major convention for them and they mostly expect people who are not already knowledgeable about GW2.

Sylvari week will come before Gamescom and sylvari will be playable at the demo at Gamescom. Sounds like the sylvari were finished before the asura, which is a big suprise.
