Hi Aggiemom, Some of the symbols on the keyboard are almost identical. Double check that you're pressing the correct ones. I know that it took me a few attempts before I got it right. Did you make sure to read the Writing Japanese book from room 18? From the walkthrough: Press the keys of the 4 syllables of the password - Ta- ka- ka- wa. (Remember to press ka twice). Press 'enter' key.

I'm not sure what you mean by being "in the data base." I did go back to the computer and put in the word you told me and it still would not work. I then made sure I sent avatars to all the phone numbers in case that was the problem -- still no help. I am wondering if I have somehow skipped an important step along the way?? I am still confused -- when I talked to Bess (or George), she said, "The password is ----." And that wasn't the word you gave me. I'm trying to think of everything else I may have accomplished here -- but I think I told you all. I typed in what you told me -- and hit enter. is that maybe my problem??? I am playing the Senior level. - And yes, I've read the book on the japanese phrases and have them photographed on my phone

Are you by chance trying to do the second password needed in the game? Is it the avatar password that you are looking for? Ana

Thanks, Ana.
Aggiemom, what password do you have? The only password that needs entering in Japanese characters is the one I indicated in my first post -- and that needs to be entered on the computer in the Ryokan's reception.

The word I heard/saw was "Mata." It was the same conversation, I think, where I was told I'd eventually get the rest of the commands for the cat. I mailed something to George but haven't rec'd anything back yet so no, haven't opened an envelope with a password in it. I already got the password for the Avatars & have done those....I'm thinking maybe I inadvertently did something out of order, if that's possible. I'll keep plugging away & will let you know when I succeed. Thank you, though, for your help!

Oops -- I think that was "Mate....." -- I need to check my notes.
