I've reached a point in this game where everytime I quit and then return to continue the game or try to load a saved game, I am always sent back to a previous point in the game. Interestingly, when I'm sent back, I'm playing as Bent, but the voiceovers are for Fay.

I've tried starting from a previous save to see if I can get past this glitch, but the result is always the same. I'm also finding, when playing from a previous save, that the player character is starting to disappear altogether from the screen.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas as to how to overcome it?

Those certainly are weird glitches.
Does the character start to disappear if you start a new game or does it only happen with a saved game?

If problems only happen with saved games, it sounds like the game isn't saving properly. If things are slowly getting worse even if you start a new game, I'd be suspicious that something in the game is corrupt and you need an uninstall/reinstall. If you uninstall/reinstall, make sure the game is installed somewhere other than the Program Files folder.

A disappearing character might be fixed by different video drivers, but you're having these other problems, and from what you said the character only disappears if you load a save.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone else had the same problems.

So far, it's just with saved games. I'll go back and experiement with a new game and see what happens.

I tried starting fresh with a new game, and no problems so far with disappearing characters. It seems to be something that only happens later in the game after using a continued or saved game.

I really don't want to start from scratch on this game and replay it all -- it's a long game! So I'm now experimenting with previous saved games to see if I can get past this somehow.

Maybe someone in Hints has saves you could try.

Disk version -- I don't think it's been released as a download yet. I'll see if I can get a saved game -- good idea.

Newflash! I used a saved game from another gamer, and this appears to have solved all the problems I was experiencing, at least so far.
