I'm thinking of buying the Penumbra Collection tomorrow from Amazon and I read the couple of reviews here at GB, but I'm not sure if there's any fighting/killing/self-defense and/or quick reflexes needed to play and finish these games?

If not, then I'll buy them, but is there is I'll pass.

Thanks in advance.

THe reviews detail the fact that there is action/killing etc in the games.

There is some killing/fighting but not much . You have the option of hiding instead of fighting. I am a die hard adventure gamer and I LOVED these games.

So am I, Sassafras, I'm a adventure gamer, also. I'd prefer hiding instead of fighting every time - is this an option throughout the entire Penumbra Collection, from the beginning of the first game in the series to the end of the last game in the series?

All I know is that there were giant spiders in it. That means I will never be able to play it. blush

Why? Are you scared of spiders?

Anyway, I just bought the Penumbra Collection.

"Scared" doesn't doesn't come close to how I react to spiders. The few spiders I've found in various games (LHOD, Barow Hill and others) have had me jumping up and sending my fancy desk chair flying across the room.

Cruise, let us know what you think. I've only played one and it was so spooky I could only play it in the day time with all the shades up, and the tv on. Normally, I like to turn off all noise and play undistributed but just could not play that game that way. lol

The dogs in the underground area in the first one were seriously scary!
