I'm stuck. I've used Magtro's walkthrough to try to get through this but I cannot get the ladder in the stone building above the cellar filled with water. I got the key, the crowbar, the long hook, and opened the cellar door and see it is full of water. I got the paper from near the door and I have been able to go forward to put the cauldron together and get water into it. But I cannot get any of the materials to make bread yet and I can't get that stinking ladder so I can get the starling. I can't see anything in the walkthrough that I have left out. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Paul,

You've just missed a small trigger for the ladder. Go back around to the right side of the house where there is scaffolding. Move forward until you are able to look up high at the scaffolding by clicking on the Up arrow. Then you should be able to take the ladder from the stone building.

Wow! Too tricky for me! I'd never have looked there. Thank you so much That worked perfectly. My little pea brain just can't handle these tricky game makers anymore.
