They are gathering as many as possible to go on a run for breast cancer all the way to Booty Bay.

When you first start, find someone from the guild "Gnomes Run for a Cure" - leader is a lvl 1 warrior Tatayana.
She trade (give) you a pink tabard with a white heart on it.

Guild Wars is having Pink Day in LA (Lion's Arch) on the 15th. In game there is a pink dye seller that's only around for a couple weeks. Then there's a web site game players can go to donate real money to cancer research. The groups in Canada. I already made my annual donation. I liked my dervish in pink so much last year that I left her in it.
