Question: I have the boxed version from the Adventure company.

Installed in my documents. Will the star force protection not let the game start for the first time?.

It wants me to re-start the computer to put in the cd code.Which I did twice ,no luck.

Running on a Win 7 64-bit system.

Is there a way around this?

Should I just buy the GOG version?

Get the GOG version. It's way easier and not expensive.

I don't know of a NoCD for the Adventure Company version of BS3. There's one for the UK version which does not use StarForce, but I don't think it would work. You won't get that old version of StarForce working on Windows 7. Windows 7 blocks it from actually installing (with good reason).

Current versions of StarForce (StarForce v5) aren't made the same way as the old StarForce v3 and games with the current version will work with Windows 7. There aren't many games with the current version published in English though.

OK, Thanks Jenny.

I'll just get the GOG version.

Both my wife & I like this game.

Thanks Dunn T

Got an email from GOG this morning - they have all 3 BS games for sale for $8.97 or $2.99 each.

Once again, weeds are my life!
