Has JA been shut down/taken off line? If so, anyone know why?

I haven't been posting on JA for a couple of weeks - I couldn't have been banned, could I?

This is very strange - why can't I access the forums?

Is this strange thing only happening to me or are others affected likewise?

Probably I was banned b/c of the stories I create - except that I haven't posted any stories on JA recently.

Odd, I can't access it either now. Maybe the forums are just offline for a while.

That's what I was thinking.

The website was down for maintenance when I tried to go there a few days ago. Apparantly they have had some attacks? on it as the admin Karla1 stated in a message from about a week ago.

Karla1 did also say that the website and the forum might be un-available for a while, as I recall. It seems to me that maybe they're doing a complete overhaul of the forum and the website?

I think it's my fault...just before it went down this time, I posted something to the extent that it was good to see that things had stabilized. Which was just asking for it, I know.

My last visit there (Sunday) showed a bunch of regular posters as ex-members (like CB). I figured they were still having issues.

I just tried and the site opened just fine for me. All the links work too.

You can get to the site, but not the forum.

Yep - I see! What's odd is that Just Adventure site itself is OK - including the Jave - Reviews - their buy games link --- all of it... Just the forums seem to be down.

I am a network admin/engineer myself - and if a site gets pulled for maintenance or updates, it is usually posted as such i.e. "Site down for Maintenance" etc. Unless that site got attacked.

Hopefully, it will be "fixed" soon.

I wen to the JA site a couple of days ago, I think in the weekend? And the message was that the "site was down for maintenance for a few days, sorry for the inconvience".

I do also think that the reason for the maintenance was that the forums for some reasons got attacked, though I can't quite figure out why.

The forum is back up, let's hope the new look is just temporary.

I think they still have some work to do elsewhere as well. I paused on the main page to bring up a few walkthroughs and even on my fairly fast connection, it took an average of 22 seconds for the walkthroughs to load.

Just tried going on the JA forums - yep, they're back up, ok!

Yes, JA forums is back up - as is their brand new splashing funky site It took me a little while getting used to the new design of it all....

In the meantime, I like that this site stays the same or nearly the same - and has done so over the years
