I'm wondering if his title is a hint that these clips are from games?

I've amended the first post to reflect that the clips are indeed from games, starting from mid 80's to the present day.

Jarkeld, I think you might want to come up with some hints.

I'm gonna take some guesses..
# 5 the original Legend of Zelda?
and # 2 Donkey Kong 64?
either way it was still worth the guess.

Unfortunately not. First important hint: I'm using game themes from games I've played. This limits the choices to the C64, Amiga, PC, and various Playstation models (except the PSP).

Individual hint:
#5: A very underrated cinematic masterpiece from '89
#4: A cinematic piece from '90.
#3: A classic adventure game. Old school intro.
#2: Very underrated Amiga only RPG.
#1: Vertical scrolling arcade game.
