I think we all have moments like that, Kayc. I know I certainly do !! crazy

But my most persistent failing is to panic when confronted by enemies - and let all the "fighting techniques" I've mastered fly right out the window lol

I think at my age my "panic" is too established, looney4labs !! slapforehead
I do manage to keep my nerve for longer these days - but I probably still lose it at least once every play session rotfl

I didn't do too badly the last time though .... Built up a little more cash and levelled up.

So quite proud of myself snicker

EDIT :

Wow !! I got to Freehaven (again) - but - practically unscathed this time - and with some dosh to spend !!
I "walked on water" a lot of the way laugh laugh laugh

Hi smile

I've been doing quite well - got both the Town Portal and Lloyd's Beacon spells and am up to "expert" level with my party in several skills.

I do have a problem though shocked

One member of my team is "cursed" and my "remove curse" spells are not curing him NOR are any of the temples (that I can get to so far, anyway) still offering healing. Even though I donate every time I visit !! shame

Could anyone offer a suggestion as to what I can try, please ??

Help is always appreciated.

Cheers.

Mad grin

Mad I found the information below on at computershow.com.

Quote:
Removes the cursed condition from a character if you cast this spell on time. The greater the skill and rank in Spirit Magic, the longer the condition could have been present before the "point of no return" is reached. After that the only way to remove the condition short of Divine Intervention is to visit a temple.

Normal: Works if cursed less than 3 minutes per point of skill
Expert: Works if cursed less than 1 hour per point of skill
Master: Works if cursed less than 1 day per point of skill

I don't know if that helps at all. luck

Hi Mad,
I keep several bottles of restoration handy in case I can't make it to a place to be healed. Do you have the things to make a potion?
You don't need any special training...anyone of your crew can make them. You need one potion of purple and one of green. Mix them together and you have restoration.
Blue and yellow make the green and blue and red make the purple.
your healer is probably not strong enough yet to wait very long to heal..
Hope this helps.
Kay

Hi smile

I am wondering about depositing and withdrawing gold using town banks ??

Am I likely to get robbed if I don't use the banks ??

And do I have to physically visit a bank and withdraw funds before I can buy from any merchants ??

I've looked through the manual and also on the internet but can't seem to find any info about banking protocol woozy

Help is always greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Mad yes

Hi Mad, The only time it is good to have all your money in the bank, is if all your crew die and the game starts you out again in New Sorpigal... all your money and health will be gone. Some people keep it there for that reason. If you have any money in the bank you can go get it then.
I always just reload a save so I never use the banks. You won't be robbed!
I've been in Castle Darkmore for a week fighting those floating eyes. Yikes! There's lot's of them. lol

I've always kept a bit (or a lot) of money in the banks in MMVI for the very reason that kayc mentions. And no, you won't get robbed, if you don't put your money in the banks.

But doesn't money have weight in this game?

And no, you don't have to visit the banks first to withdraw money to buy items at shops. If you have enough money on you, I think? It's been a while since I played this game, though. But I think that if you don't have enough money on you, the merchants automatically deducts frm your bank account?

PS. Mad, remember to look at stables and else where for lucky charms shaped in the form of something you put onto a horse's feet.

Another question please .... if anyone can help smile

I've stashed some of my booty in a "goblin" chest that I "emptied".

Will it stay there if I leave the town (for example) and don't come back for it until some later date ??
Or will it disappear into thin air ?? scared

Thanks for all the help so far.

Mad grin

Hi Mad, I know you loose the things you put in the chests if the town resets. I only use the one in Blackshire with the statuettes in it to store things that I don't care if I lose but can't sell.
I just don't trust any of the chests.lol

Might and Magic V11 had the chests in your castle that you could use but V1 doesn't have any that I know of.

I think towns reset in MMVI every 3 days or maybe 4 or even 6 days. It's been a while since I played it, but I seem to remember buying a bag of holding somewhere. Can't remember where, though.

Thank you smile

I did think the most frequent "re-set" was New Sorpigal - every six months - with most of the other areas being every 1 or 2 years.
Guess I'm not very well clued up at all !!!! snicker

And although I've used a "bag of holding" in other games, I've never heard of one in M&M VI.
'Course THAT doesn't mean a thing, either. I hardly remember stuff the day after it's happened !!!! lol

EDIT :
New Sorpigal had just re-set and I had killed most of the goblins (again) when I used the chest.
So, as a test, I've just slept for 2 days and then travelled for another 7 - and after those 9 days, my stuff is still in the chest.
So I'm hoping it might stay there now until new Sorpigal re-sets in another six months.
[No harm in hoping, eh ?? whistle]
