Have been playing this game for awhile and am now at the cannons. It's now become much less of a casual game and more of a "hair puller". Gave up when I realized there were 6 sets of roman numerals to click on for each cannon and they can change if I have to leave prior to getting them all.
If anyone has played this would you consider PM'ing me with the ending?
Thanx

Thanks for your time Marion; I haven't uninstalled the game so maybe I'll go back to it sometime. I do understand what to do with the cannons, just got burned out locating all the roman numerals and associate them with the cannons and if one is wrong you have to start over with different numbers.

Including me!! But it was such a good game that I felt I just HAD to see it through to the end. I worked it out from all the advice given on this Board - I think it took me about one hour - and yes it did become a chore. But I felt a sense of achievement once I had completed this darn cannons puzzle. So, you go girl, if I can do it, anyone can! Hi Rosaboobie!(Love that name!) I also gave up on the cannons. I never have finished the game! I will try again someday. I was so disappointed the way this game progressed. The Mystery Case Files series was such a great"casual" game in the past . Why complicate things?! I sure hope that the new one will be better!

I am glad to see that I was not the only one the cannons defeated. I gave up and sold the game.

I also gave up on 13th Skull. I am truly a casual gamer, still working outside my home, and, to be honest, I can't remember the last time I finished an IHOG or adventure lite game. While I have continued to purchase games in some of the bigger name series, I suspect at some point I may stop buying them altogether.
I sincerely appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry in these games, the size of the investment in their creation and the overall value with respect to their cost, but I simply do not have the large blocks of time necessary to play them with the continuity that is required and, as a result, they do start to feel more like drudgery than fun, something that you feel that you have to go back to just so you can have the satisfaction of finishing.
I've found the reviews here and on Gamezebo to be very helpful with respect to identifying the games are the best for a casual gamer like me. Thank you all for taking the time to discuss them!

Certainly glad to find out that I am not alone on giving up on this game over the cannons. The games are supposed to be fun not frustrating. It does kinda stick in my craw that I let it beat up on me. I still have it loaded on the computer and may take another stab at it........someday, not today........maybe. But only after a stiff cup of coffee or perhaps something else to calm the nerves.
