I know that this game is old, but recently I moved my computer to another room and I found it among my discs. I remember how much I liked it so I installed and have just finished playing the first game, but now I can't figure out how to access the expansions. The game comes with two Installation discs, 1 Play disc and discs 2, 3, and 4. When I try to use disc 2,3 or 4 I get the message "cannot find the installer". When I try the Installation discs I get the message "insert Play disc". The instruction manual seems to have been written for the 1st game and doesn't mention SoU or HotU. Can anyone remember how to install them. Thanks.

Fildil, I never played these but will have a go with Mr Google and get back to you. Hopefully a vet with great memory will get here first though. wave

Fildil, at Gamefaqs I found the following info :

Quote:
Unlock all HOTU expansion chapters in single player
In the neverwinter nights directory there is a file called nwnplayer.ini Open the file and find the line that says ''CODEWORD XP2='' or some variation thereof. Change it to:

CODEWORD XP2=barkeater

If there isn't a ''CODEWORD XP2='' line then just add it somewhere between the ''[Game Options]'' and ''[Control Options]'' lines. After putting this in you should be able to access all the chapters for the expansion campaign

Frankly, it sounds like Martian to me, but I thought it might make sense to you as you've played it before?

I'm going to go check Bioware's forums now and will post back if I find anything I think might help.

edit: Bioware linked me to Atari. Here I Found Patches. Again, I'm not sure if that will solve your problem or not, but it might. wave

Also the Bioware Forums have quite a bit of info....I'm sure they would have the answers you seek. luck

Wow, that's a lot of information l4l and I'll give it a try, but I know that I didn't have to change any of my game files to play the expansions before. Thank you so much for all the work.
