The 1st time I played MCF: the 13th Skull, I came here for some help because, tho I seemed to have the skulls connected to the correct heads, nothing happened. I read a post directing players to the WT that included the lists of where and how to get the 2 kinds of 'crowns',along with a remark about finding this info in the 'credits'. I looked thru the game credits and didn't see anything.

Please explain more about how to do it. Is this trick true for all games?

Also, because of those helpful lists, I got all the crowns except one because I didn't read the clue close/soon enough and got the last coin before going after the last crown.
Click to reveal..
Even without that crown, putting the 13th skull on triggered the last scene.

I'm still wondering though:
Click to reveal..
1 - The final scene; is the detective dying?
2 - Is that the final scene (or) did missing that last crown stop something else from happening?

duh headscratch

Here's the list that I posted last year about where to find all the gold insignias, including hints you will find in the credits:

Click to reveal..

1. Enter “pippi” as the computer password.

2. Calling F.T. Fish on payphone in the bar at 737-4410 before you call Lamont or play the Claw Game because the coins will go away.

3. Fish fountain at the front of the house - the pattern is at the crow’s nest on the ship. The pattern is the center spot and the inner most ring.

4. Plunge the kitchen sink with the plunger before you fix the toilet - backwards clue from the game credits.

5. Play the notes BFG on the piano - clue from the game credits.
B = the white key to the right of the 94 key
F = the white key with 114 on it
G= the white key with 7 on it

6. One is in the margin of your journal, usually around page 20 to 25.

7. Spell out Rowena Spinch on chest lock that is under the mausoleum before you spell out Phineas Crown – clue from the game credits.

8. Use the metal detector then dig a hole with the shovel on the footprints in the swamp before you dig up the last coin.

9. Use the can opener on the white can on the shelves to the left of the trap door area under the mausoleum. The can opener is in a H.O.G. at the air conditioner on the side of Cooter’s house.

10. Use the ice pick on the freezer in the gas station. The ice pick in in a H.O.G scene under the mausoleum.

The H.O.G scenes for the last two are not triggered until after you place the 13 skulls on the pattern in the alligator's nest in the swamp.

Fellow forum member Sherlock pointed out that:

You have to find a good number of them before you reach the end and before you play the bonus game. Once you reach the end you no longer have the plunger or the coin purse. It would appear that the developers are very clever in their way of getting us to play this game over and over.

I'm not sure about your other questions; I need to play the game again to refresh my memory. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer them. As a general rule, though, I would say that hints for games aren't usually to be found in the game credits; the MCF developers are just very tricky. smile

That is definitely the list I used to find the crown.

What do you mean by:

Can you direct me as to what to look for? or, provide a sample screen?

Thanks again praise

I can remember a couple of them (it's been quite a while since I played).

There's a clue in the game credits that says, "Egnulp eht knis!" (which is "plunge the sink" spelled backwards).

Also, toward the end of the game credits, there's a piece of paper that shows 3 notes on a musical score (this is the clue for playing the notes BFG on the piano).

Maybe someone else will remember more. smile wave

Now you have me wanting to replay this game. grin
