Has anyone succeeded in playing Moment of Silence on Windows 7 Home version? (Sorry if this has been discussed on the forum, I could not find a thread.) I have the bought original UK DVD and I have tried everything. I get the Starforce Error stating it is only compatible with previous versions of Windows. I used the compatibility tab to get it to work as XP pack services 2, I tried to update drivers from Starforce (but apparently there is no driver to update), I tried the No DVD patches in all languages (English does not exist), I'm getting desperate. I think the company has gone bust, so there is no patch to expect from the developers. I have however updated to patch 1.01 English that I found somewhere on the net. Help! I'm craving to play it again and I don't intend to play it on my old computer.

From what Jenny and Inland have said before with games that require Starforce, it is not compatible with Windows 7. I'm not sure about the No DVD patches. I'm sure they will know more.

The game plays fine after installing the NoCD patch, I have it installed without any issues (under Windows 7 Pro 3 bit). If you end up with a driver conflict after the initial install, download and run the Starforce Removal Tool.

Ah, but the no cd for us version does not work with UK DVD. Which no cd patch did you use? The removal starforce tool does not find anything to remove...

The more I think about it, the more I think you're correct. If I'm not mistaken Jenny pointed out that the US version didn't contain any copyright protection (and according to the NoCD site, that seems to be the case).

We had another member that was looking for the UK patch, but I don't think it ever got resolved.

Hi,
I tried everything under the Sun to try and get the Starfoce to work with Win7 32 bit and No Luck, even with the help and patience and guidance from InlandAZ.

So I took Jenny100 suggestion re: the 4 CD version (With NO Starforce) which I bought from Ebay and voila, the game now works perfectly on my Win7.

Ray
Again thanks to InlandAZ for his help.

Should I buy the game again, the US version, on eBay?

I just bought the Uncut Version of Culpa Innata on Adventure online thingy, and so far I cannot find any difference with the original I bought years ago. (Edit: oh, I just saw a new dream, a sex scene...)

I hate spending money on games I already bought sometime ago. It should work, should it not? I've got the original DVD! I'll find a way...

I tried everything, every single no CD and no DVD patch, I read about the solutions to StarForce and Windows 7, it is a pity no one devised a no DVD patch for the English version. With Jenny we even tried copying a few files from the CD version, without success. I will have to play it on my old PC or buy a CD version on eBay, they're not very expensive. Considering how many games no longer work on Windows 7, you would have thought the company doing StarForce would have provided a general solution to delete their security that prevents people from playing games they have bought. I hope they will in the future.
