Has anyone played this game on a PC ? It has recently become available for the PC and it looks really good. Since it was originally done for PS3 and Xbox, I am wondering if it is 3rd person, mouse driven or if the keyboard has to be used. I would be interested in hearing what anyone (who has played the game) thinks of it.

I just bought LA Noire. I have Windows 7, 4 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 9300 GE. I can't figure out how to open door and moving around is difficult. It is keyboard and mouse. But I cant get all the controls to work. It is slow and I cant figure out how save a game! You might want to wait.

Gatsbygirl, according to the web you can remap your keys to your own taste but it takes mouse and keyboard or else a gamepad.

Thanks Ana wave12

Birddog, from the web it looks like you should be able to left click on the door but I'm sure you've tried that.

There is a List of Tweaks which might be of some help and a List of Controls here.

Thanks for the info.Darn! I don't like games that require the keyboard and/or gamepad and I was afraid that this game was one of those. Sounds like there are some glitches with it, too. I gave the game to my son-in-law for Christmas and he has a PS3. Hope he doesn't encounter any problems with it.

I can understand that. I have gotten used to keyboard games from playing WoW, but before that I tried to avoid them. wave12

Hi Birddog-

I think that doors you can go into have gold doorknobs. I just walk toward the door using WASD and I get inside.

Gatsbygirl- I know what you mean- I've got an XBox console but it's gathering dust cause I can't get used to using all the buttons on the controller-just give me an old fashioned point and click game where I have the 3 mouse buttons to press.

I tried to play again but the lanoire.exe file was missing, so I reinstalled. Then it said the socialclub.dll was missing. Found the socialclub program on the disk but said I had a later version already installed. This is the very worst install process I have ever been through.
And having to be involved with the Social Club in order to play this expensive game is the limit.
Do not buy this game.

Birddog, as far as I know you don´t have to join the socialclub to play LA Noire. I haven´t, at least I'm not aware to have joined it, and I´m playing. Bought the game from Steam and the install went smoothly.
As for saving unfortunately you can´t save when you yourself want to. The game saves automatically at certain points in story but fairly often and regularly.
And by the way, this surely is an adventuregame, be it it got some actionscenes, but they can be scipped without any real consequence for the gameplay.

This is a great game and you don't have to belong to the socialclub to play. I bought the game from Dave and it installed just fine.
