I have a new computer-64 bit. I downloaded Gray Matter successfully, watched the opening, etc. but when I tried to play the first scene-looking for the rabbit, the cursor won't move. The only thing that resembles a cursor is at the top of the upper right corner, but it won't move. Sam talks, the rabbit eats, but I can't play. Would like some advice, please!

Hi, Jenny-This new computer is set up differently from my old one. Having a hard time finding things. Have looked under System, etc. but have yet to locate the Video card. What should I be looking for? Name, location, etc. MaG suggested that my problem with Still Life 2 and now, Gray Matter may be due to the system, and not the games, themselves. Any help is much appreciated.

Click Start, Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Device Manager - expand Display Adapter.

Thank you..I did as you said, but don't see anything listed as Video card. Found Realtek High Def. Audio, and Intel Graphics Family, but other than those, not sure what I'm looking for. Frustrating. The old computer was easier to navigate.

Thank you. Did as you said and went to Device Mgr. Did find Realtek High Def. Audio, and Intel Graphics Family, but nothing titled Video card. Not sure exactly what I'm looking for, but the old computer was much easier to navigate. I'm assuming since the computer is new, it would have an advanced Video card. Still, I have been experiencing problems with the games.

It's the Intel graphics adapter I was looking for - are you running Windows 7 oe XP?

To see which family you have, right click the entry in Device Manager and press the Details tab.

Hi, Inland. Running Windows 7. Went to Device Mgr.-Intel Graphics Family, but when I right click on that, and everything else, a pop-up appears with the options of updating hardware,Properties, Uninstall, etc. Not what you're looking for. Not sure what to do, now.

Have you tried checking through dxdiag?

Click the Start button in the lower left of your screen and enter
dxdiag
in the Start Search.

When DXDIAG opens, choose the Display tab.
The video card or chipset name will be listed on the left. Driver information is on the right.

What I got was Intel (R) HD Graphics Family.-1920x1080 (32 bit)-60H2.
DirectX 11
It also stated that everything was running OK.
Does this help?

Bummer. Most of the system requirements that I've found for Gray Matter don't list Intel as compatible. The only website that did said you need Intel GMA X3200 or higher. So it might be halfway playable if you turn down all the available graphics enhancements in the game options.

Unfortunately, definitely not true for gaming. New does not mean advanced or good for gaming.
