Thanks Draclvr; I decided to install this old game in my xp. Nothing I tried worked. I was about to give up, when I saw how you installed the game in win 7. I tried it on my win. 7, & I've been playing for a half hour with no problems. It seems strange that it will work on win7 in xp service pack 2compatibility, but won't work on my xp machine. Go figure.

As I remember Resurrection was not compatible with some XP computers even thought it said it was on the box. I know I had to install it in 98SE Compatibility to play on my XP computer. But I'm glad it's working on your Windows 7!

There was a CD patch released - what is the error you see?

Thanks Inland; It runs perfectly on win7 so I'll leave it there. On the xp, I installed it in 98se; when I go to play, it tells me I have the wrong disc in the drive. If I leave it in xp, the first screen comes up displaying dreamcatcher & stays there, that's it, won't go any further. But I'm happy to play it on win7.

That's what the patch addressed - Drac may have it on Mystery Manor.

Yes, Ghostlady has the patch for the "wrong CD" error message in the Sewing Room at Mystery Manor.

Gave the patch a try, & just finished the game on xp before I had to make dinner last night. It worked great. Thanks

Great! Now, are you off to play The Last Sanctuary? I've always said one should play them together as the second picks up right where the first left off.

Half way through the Last Sanctuary. Loaded & plays perfectly in my xp with no tweaking.
