Does anyone have any news about this game?

OK, at first glance, the "latest news" is from November 28, 2007, but if you look down in the lower right corner, the website copyright is updated through 2011 by Viperante, the game designer, there is a slick trailer on Youtube which was first uploaded in 2008 and re-uloaded by someone called "JustAdventure11" in December of last year, and a recent thread in the Just Adventure forums teases about a beta test on someone's hard drive being "very scary".

This game really looks excellent, and I hope it eventually does get published. Anyone have any insights or insider info?

It was still being worked on but nearing completion when I last spoke to the developer in July 2011. We will certainly post news here as soon as the developer releases a new statement.

Hmmm, interesting! Sounds like those rumors might be true, then.

Thanks for the info!

It looks to be so near in releasing that it could be any day now. There may also be a possibility that, at least initially, the game will only be released exclusively at the new Just Adventure Store which I now think is run by Tri-Synergy (no longer Interact) the publisher of Corrosion.

Take a look at what Karla over at JA says about the game which she has played and the news of release. Sounds exciting...

I have it on good authority that Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting is an upcoming release with a creep-out factor that's practically off the scale. I know this is so because I'm the good authority.

I've had a look at Corrosion. It's a genuinely scary game.

No formal release date has been set, although I understand it should be coming out very shortly -- possibly even this weekend. Stay tuned for an announcement in the forums, then look for the game to be exclusively available in the JA Shop!

Okay, seriously: I said possibly this past weekend. That's what I was told. Alas, it didn't happen and for that, I apologize.

I was fortunate enough, however, to have been given an opportunity to play a pre-release version of Corrosion. As an adventure gamer who loves horror, I can say from personal experience that this is a truly frightening game.

Hopefully, it will be forthcoming before much more time passes. For those who enjoy being scared as much as I do, I think it will be worth the wait.

However, Dan has created Corrosion completely on his own and it's his first effort as an indie developer. I, for one, am happy he spent as much time on it as he did. He's done a masterful job in conjuring up a terrifying game; it's only the second to have truly scared me in all my years of gaming.

Right, those are the posts I saw over at JA, which piqued my curiosity. I had thought this project was dead until I saw that out of the blue. Coupled with Ana's post above I'm inclined to think it's legit. The story sounds great. Nice and creepy.

I hoping no timed puzzles, I'm terrible at them.

I'll wait until some people have played the game before I decide to purchase, although it does sound interesting.

JA was the first gaming site I knew of but I absolutely hate it now. I went on it last week and can't find anything I'm looking for. The store didn't seem to have much. Maybe the site's too fancy now and I don't know how to use it? If the game is sold exclusively there, I may have to pass!

I have been waiting for this one, too. I cannot wait to play it. I've been chewing the ear off a non-gamer about this one and Prominence. If you guys are reading this, please get 'em done!
